A: Our clients range from people who never used computers to computer experts who don't know web development. We educate and work with all of them!

Q: What is the cost of web development?
A: The web development cost broken down into four parts:
Domain Fee. Usually $5.99-$7.99 per year, but often included in a hosting fee (see below).
Hosting Fee. Web site needs a home and regular backups. The company we use charges an annual $64.99 hosting fee, which includes domain name and weekly backups.
Web Site Design and Development. You need at least $2,000 to have a unique Web site that properly optimized for search engines.
Templates are cheaper alternative - about $300 for a Web site from a template. There is selection of templates on our Web site you can choose from. Or you can buy templates from any hosting company. Remember - it is hard to optimize a template and your Web site's design won't be unique.
Maintenance. If you make small changes every 2-3 months, we will do it for free the first year. After that - there will be a maintenance fee based on the frequency and complexity of the updates.
Q: What is SEO? Why it is important?
A: If you want to be found on Internet - you need to optimize your Web site. Search Engine Optimization, or SEO is a project on its own. Each page is optimized separately and It takes from 80-200 hours to optimize an entire Web site. SEO is a separate fee.
Q: Who is writing text for the site?
A: The owner usually writes the text. Text is important for successful SEO - search engines can't read images; they can only read text. At Digital Mosaics we have two experienced copywriters editing the text we put on a Web site.
Q: Who is responsible for the images?
A: You are. Remember, good quality images make Web sites alive! We can fix poorly lit images, but not out-of-focus photos.We recommend using professional photographers, if you can.
Q: What is the process of creating Web sites?
A: Creating a Web site is a project like any other. We create a schedule and a deadline for each step.
It takes a Web designer/Web developer on average 120 - 360 hours to create a web site.
We create three different designs using different color combinations and formats.That is usually enough to make a decision on a design. If not - we are back to the drawing board...
